My super tea w/ fresh herbs in my favorite souvenir mug from Jamaica.
I drink tea on a relatively daily basis. I prefer organic caffeine free brands like Lidl's Organic Wellness Herbal Teas. They have a variety of types to aid the body with various functions. My favorite two are Digestive Relief and Detox, both clean you out really good.
Every cup of tea I prepare I put two Gluten Free Natural Herbal cough drops and fresh ginger root. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, I have included in my tea 1/4 tsp of turmeric and half that of cayenne pepper, it can be the same amount based on your taste for spice. For me 1/4 tsp is a little too spicy. I don't eat much refined or processed sugar, so I do not add any sweetener to my tea. The cough drops act as a sweetening agent; however, raw honey or raw cane sugar will suffice if you have to have it.
Health benefits:
Fresh Ginger Root: Chemical compounds in ginger help ward off germs.
Turmeric: It's a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis.
Cayenne: Has anti-inflammatory properties and benefits.
The cough drops are $1 a bag. I've only ever been able to find them at Dollar General.
